It's a Cooking Collaboration!
We are excited to have a joint cooking adventure with the Tiger and Bear Dens.
The new Cub Scout adventures include a progressive path towards being able to independently shop for and cook a healthy outdoor meal for a large group. The Tiger adventures include understanding the basics of making healthy food choices, etiquette for eating common picnic foods, how to maintain a clean personal space and fun, high energy hiking snacks. The Bear adventures, which are two more years down the scouting path, include the more technical aspects of gardening such as composting as well as meal planning, food shopping and cooking those dishes over an outdoor fire and on camping stoves.
By collaborating on this unit, our scouts get the benefit of one another's learning. Not to mention it will be so much more fun!
Where: Wills Park (Pavilion is yet to be assigned by the City of Alpharetta)
