Pack Meeting Themes Announced!

Wondering What All the Excitement is About?

Pack 285 is gearing up for a third great year of service and community!

Won't you join us at our monthly Pack Potlucks to celebrate the fun and excitement of scouting? As in years past, we will circulate a Signup Genius for the potluck. Each family is asked to select one or more items to bring to the dinner.  Remember that siblings and relatives visiting from out of town are encouraged to join us.

This year the themes for the Pack Potlucks include:

September = Raingutter Regatta:  Our annual scout and sibling boat race in the inflatable track!

October = Spooky Ree!  In place of a monthly pack potluck, we encourage families to join us on a two night camp out at Bert Adams Scout Reservation in Covington, GA.

November = Service Projects!  Come assist us in completing a Fall service project and learn more about service projects coming up in the Spring.

December = Games Galore: Celebrate the midpoint of the year with a series of fun family games.

January = Snowballs and Such: Our third year of snow related fun!

February = Blue and Gold Banquet and Family Talent Show! Who can forget the amazing cakes from last year or the terrifically talents scouts, siblings and parents who participated in our first ever "Do Your Best" Talent Show ?!

March = Pinewood Derby Car Race and Scouting for Food (Food Pantry Service Project)!  Two classic scouting activities make for a terrific fun filled day!

April =  K-9s and Camping!  Another perennial favorite as we checked with the Alpharetta Police Department and their K-9 unit.  In addition we prepare for our two night camp out at General Coffee State Park in southern Georgia.

May = Picnic and Advancement Ceremony!  This is an exciting year as we guide our Webelos 2 den out of Cub Scouting and into Boy Scouting.  These Webelos were among the first young men to join Pack 285 and we are excited to watch them transition into Boy Scouts.  In addition we will be recognizing the achievements of all our scouts as they move into their next den level.  June starts a brand new scouting year!
