It was all games, ALL NIGHT!

The First Bear Den Carnival was a HIT!

Pack 285 loved it's first ever carnival with games developed and operated by our Third Grade scouts! Each scout and his family conceived of a game, build it, taught the other scouts the rules, set up and took down and operated their game during the December Pack Meeting.

Some games were more challenging than others! One of the most difficult was getting the beach ball through the hoops of roughly the same size.  The game judged to be the MOST FUN was the cup shooting Nerf game. Following the scouting safety rules, this game was compartmentalized away from the other activities and the "range" was clearly defined.

Even the adults were eager to play this particular game!  Look at District Rep, Mark Terry, having a go at the cups!!

It's the kind of fun that only a scout could enjoy!

There were also ring toss games, bean bag/corn hole, and so much more!

The ping pong water challenge had two levels: easy and impossible!  The goal was to toss your ping pong into the floating cups.  Whether you won or not, this game was guaranteed to make a SPLASH!

Pack 285 families and parents are always involved but this carnival took everything to a NEW LEVEL.  One parent even volunteered to be the FACE of the pie-tossing contest.  She had a face full of cream and enjoyed every minute of the game.

Parents were also involved in running the Carnival Concession Booth! The funds raised here went towards the Spring Camp-out.  Thank you to families who donated food, staffed the booth or purchased snacks!!

We can't wait to see everyone in January for the BIGGEST SNOWBALL FIGHT EVER!
